And his administration has made it clear it’s not planning on being diplomatic with regard to Iran.  Dude Iran barely gave us ANY of our oil. Have you ever checked a fact or are you just going off the handle with Ron Paul’s bullshit-o-meter statistics? The entire Persian Gulf barely gives us 16% of our oil and almost all of that is from Saudi Arabia. They put numerous economic sanctions on Iran because of massive widespread human rights violations, threats from their President to wipe Israel off the map, and trying to build a nuclear program while ALSO harboring terrorists! And Iran doesn’t want diplomatic relations with the United States, it’s in the very structure of their system of government to not want diplomatic relations with the west. I’ve dropped most of my support from Paul. I don’t really advocate any candidate.  And the most recent oil price hike has been caused by Iran, within the last few days actually. Oil prices always spike after certain events, and in this case, it’s expected to be a 30% spike. They may not give us oil, but their actions directly affect the price of oil.  The economic sanctions that were placed on Iran didn’t hurt the government, it hurt the people of Iran. The people don’t want to be living under a tyrant. The sanctions stated that businesses could either conduct business with Tehran, or the United States, but not both. So far, most businesses have stayed with the US. The people of Iran, however, have gotten shafted by these sanctions, while the government continues to be the murderous state that is it.  Israel themselves has said Iran isn’t close to a nuclear weapon (after killing their nuclear scientists and using Mossad to destroy  Even if it’s not in the “structure” of their government to be diplomatic, you need to attempt reasoning before placing crippling sanctions on the people of a nation. The next step is going to be the bombing of “military bases” in Iran, and soon, the people of Iran are going to start dropping like flys- and it will be under the guise of “freeing the people of Iran, one bomb at a time”
